VEEV 88

7th

Jobi Jocko *S x Jobi Aida * 3 D  2*M AR

We are excited that Jobi animals are proof that careful breeding can make this breed into a true dairy animal. She needs more foreudder extension and tighter elbows and toes.We are excited to have Willa back on a Spring kidding schedule as the fall kidders never seem to produce as well, her production was so high her first (spring) freshening, that gives us hope for this one to be much better for her.

Willa is the dam of our 2009 1st place Produce of Dam class

Rosasharn SS Aquarias +B*S x Piddlin Acres Start a Rumor *D *M AR

Puzzle is one of our better milkers who also has lovely general appearance and a very nice mammary.  She is 1/4 inch overheight, approx.

Jobi Agnes 5*M AR

+VEE 87

Rosasharn's SS Unity +*B x Jobi Gia 4*D 4*M AR

Gold Eyes, Wattles

Agnes is a very dairy doe with a great will to milk.  We have milked her straight through two seasons (on her 2nd lactation) and her production has remained great at over 1 quart per day.

This breeding will be a repeat of the cross that produced Angelica, whose mammary scored Excellent and has had a couple of best udders.

Milking Through

MKaapio Acres Moonstruck+B *S x QSF Here's a Riddle 2*M AR

Blue Eyes

Harriet milked 5.3 pounds the second test of her 2nd freshening.  She is our top milker now, and we were so thrilled to finish her in the show ring.  She broke her left front knee during her 3rd pregnancy.  We are hoping it heals enough for her to continue her career.

Milking through to 2011

Jobi Morgan +B *S x Jobi Lucia 4*D, 1*M

Gold Eyes

Dam's Milk Production: 2-01-496-1230-87-(7.0%)-54(4.4%)

While Chloe has some general appearance issues, her udder has the best texture of any udder in our herd.  2009's appraiser said he rarely has given an Excellent in that category to a Nigerian.  When she milks out, it is like watching a balloon deflate.   We are retaining her buck kid based on pedigree and Chloe's mammary.

Jobi Delite 5*M

VEEV 89

4th

Rosasharn's SS Unity +B*S x Jobi Latti 4*D, 4*M

Gold Eyes, Wattles

Delite is our 2nd best milking doe and also a contender in the show ring.

2x 2008 Sr. Grand, BOB, 4x Res. Sr. Grand

This will be a purposeful linebreeding with Delite's sister's son.

Rosasharn's SS Unity +*B x Jobi Latti 4*D, 4*M AR

Gold Eyes

Truly our nicest overall doe.  We are proud of her looks, attitude and milkability.  She is a smaller doe, so not the volume of some of our bigger girls, but plenty for her size.

3rd place ADGA National show, 2nd place best udder. 3x Sr. Grand, 8x BOB, 5x Best Udder Breed, 2x Best Udder in Show,

Frolic is a lovely daughter of Riddle who was an ADGA breed leader in 2005 and one of our best foundation does.  Not quite the mammary capacity as her full sister Harriet, but more dairy character.  Milking quite well.

Gadget has lovely dairy character and general appearance. She could use a bit higher rear udder attachment.  She routinely places toward the middle of her show classes when really good competition is present.  We have retained some lovely daughters and would like to see her go to a show/milk home.

Angelica is the most dairy, long necked doe in our herd, with an udder that might even be nicer than Deana's (until you compare them milked out).  We adore her disposition as well.

Pholia Farm KM Goliath *B x GCH Jobi Deana 5*M

Noir has decent general appearance, and good dairy character. But not quite the mammary shape. We have been a bit disappointed with the two offspring we have freshened by Goliath.  She has great udder texture, though, and is milking quite well.

Noir milked 4.2 pounds on the first test of her 2nd freshening!

Small doe, milking pretty well for her size.  We are not as happy with this cross as we thought we would be.  This is a good chance to get some of Deana's genetics for a good price.  Should be crossed with a buck that improves front ends and overall udder attachments.

Strumpet has teats that milk out super easily, even though they are not large.  She needs a better topline and area of udder attachment.  Should be a good milker with a 2nd freshening.  This is another one I want to keep but can't face the spring kidding with over 50 due!

Frailin has great general appearance and some nice sized teats.  She is milking well, but could use improved dairy character.  We just have too many to breed for spring, or I would definitely keep this one, I think her 2nd freshening udder will be really nice.

 A Brief Policy Note

Milk production, Linear Appraisal, and the showing are all important to us.  We give buyers with similar goals to ours a bit of a preference.  It helps our herd records and management to know how well our offspring are doing in the milk bucket and in the ring.

One day milk testing is fine, as we understand that the commitment of milking for 10 months can be too much for many folks.  Also, showing is not for everyone, but linear appraisal is another very helpful tool for evaluating conformation.  Of all of these, milk testing is probably our first priority, as only through these our bucks can earn their pluses (+).

Bucks are available only from 2nd or better fresheners who have proved themselves in the milk pail.  They must also have exceptional pedigrees. Please do not make flashy coats and blue eyes your priority when selecting a buck.  We like those qualities too, but they should not be the deciding factor.

Please let us know your herd goals, plans and limitations when reserving kids and we will try to work with you.   Thank you!
